Mrs. Barbara Louise Posey, age 71, of 1015 Tranquility Lane, Hartwell, died Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at her home.
Born July 9, 1939 in Hart County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Homer Lee Partain and Elvie C. Wright Partain. She was a Beautician and a member of Bethany Baptist Church
She is survived by:Husband, John Posey of the home; Sons, Bobby Posey and his wife Mandy of Hartwell, GA and Harold Posey; Daughters, Pam Peacock and her husband Ray, Caroline Fleming, and Heather Hunnicutt; Brother, Terrell Partain; Sisters, Susie Sanders, Jerldean Senkbeil, Brenda Mitchell, and Sheryl Robinson all of Hartwell, GA; Ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.She is preceded in death by her Parents; Sister, Virginia Goddard and a Brother, Charles Partain.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Baptist Church.Rev. Luther Thomason will officiate. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6 – 8:00 p.m.The family is at the home.Flowers are optional; Memorials may be made to Bethany Baptist Church, P.O. Box 396, Hartwell, GA30643.
