Mrs. Elizabeth Louise Weaver Ray, 95, of Hartwell, passed away August 11, 2025 at Hartwell Health & Rehab.
Born on March 10, 1930 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Monroe Weaver and Clara Bryson Weaver. Mrs. Ray was a retired inspector for Monroe Auto Equipment Co. for twenty years and a member of the Bethany Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son: Blake Ray (Judy) of Anderson SC; one sister: Shelby Jo Franklin of Anderson SC; two granddaughters: Deilia Williams (Brian) and Devin Rubinstein (James); four great-grandchildren: Roland Williams, Marlowe Williams, Frances Rubinstein and Parker Rubinstein. Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by her husband: Frances H. Ray, one son: Curtis Ray; three brothers: Mike Weaver, Hubert Weaver, Ronnie Weaver; and two sisters: Jane Deal and Claudine Bowen.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 15, 2025 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.
Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Ray will be Friday, August 15, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Jerry Durham and Rev. Luther Thomason officiating. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
Flowers are optional, and memorials may be made to Bethany Baptist Church, 2085 Bethany-Bowersville Road, Canon GA 30520.
The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
