Mrs. Love Scarborough Leicht, 79, of Holly St, Hartwell, died Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at her home.
Born on August 19, 1935 in Chattahoochee, FL, she was the youngest daughter of the late Edgar W. and Elizabeth Fletcher Scarborough. She graduated from Florida State University where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority.She served as president of the Hartwell First United Methodist Church Women and president of the Nancy Hart Garden Club.She was an active member of the Hartwell First United Methodist Church for 40 years.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years: Robert F. Leicht; two sons: Robert W. Leicht and his wife Suzanne of Evans, GA, Bruce S. Leicht and his wife Bonnie of Macon, GA; one daughter: Amy L. Seamans and her husband Gary of Tallahassee, FL; seven grandchildren: Mary Charlotte Leicht, Robert W. Leicht, Jr., Ted Seamans, Jack Seamans, Sophie Leicht, Rabun Leicht and Eliza Leicht; one sister: Eleanor S. Barbree of Crawfordville, FL.Mrs. Leicht was preceded in death by a sister Julia Ann Burgess.
A memorial service will be held October 4, at 2:00 pm at the Hartwell First Methodist Church with Dr. Allen Stewart officiating.The family will have a reception following the service in the fellowship hall.
