Obituary
Mrs. Lovie Burns Jordan, 91, of 343 North Forest Ave, Hartwell, died Friday, January 13, 2012 at Hart County Hospital.
Born on March 2, 1920 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Jim Burns and Etta Reed Burns.She was a retired cloth inspector for Mt. Vernon / Riegel Textile and was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.
Survivors include her two sons, J.C. Jordan Jr. and Kendall Jordan both of Hartwell; a daughter, Louise Christian of Hartwell; a sister, Etta Mae O'Dell of Elberton; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Jordan was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Jordan Sr.; four sons, Terry Jordan, Billy Jordan, Kenneth Jordan and Larry Jordan; a daughter, Janelle Jordan and by several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 15, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Lonnie Bennett and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon.The family is at the home of Mr.& Mrs. J.C. Jordan, Hart Terrace, Hartwell.
