Mrs. Loy Nina Holland Baker, 99, of Thornton Baker Road, Hartwell, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 16, 2018 at her home.
Born on April 7, 1919 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Howell Lawson Holland and Grace McLeskey Holland.Mrs. Baker was a retired seamstress for Bellcraft and the Hartwell Company and a member of the Reed Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son: James Baker of Anderson SC; a daughter: Patsy Baker of Hartwell, a brother: Ray Holland of Canon; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and eight great great-grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her husband Thornton Baker; a son: Benson Baker; two daughters: Betty Sue Baker and Brenda Freeman; a grandson: Robert Baker; a brother: Howell Holland and two sisters: Hazel Holland and Ruby Bannister.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Reed Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Stowe, Mr. Fred Greenway and Mr. Henry Freeman officiating.Burial will be in the Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday night.The family is at the home.
