Mrs. Lucille Rosezena (Saylers) Pierce, age 79, of Canon, died Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Brown Memorial Convalescent Center.
Born June 30, 1934 in Hart County, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Lois (Cawthon) Saylers. She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Bobby Newton Pierce; sister: Sever Nelle Whiten; and brothers: Joe Saylers, Billy Saylers, John Saylers, and T.R. Brather.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Beverly & Carl Brown; sons and daughters-in-law: Kenneth and Mary Pierce and Leonard "Roni" and Peggy Pierce; grandchildren: Kristy Brown and Joseph Nix; and great-grandchildren: Autumn Brown, Elijah Brown, Kayla Nix, and Justin Nix.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Carnesville with Rev. Gene Brown and Rev. Bobby Joe Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at the home of Kenneth and Mary Pierce.
