Mrs. Lucy Stribling Bond, age 87, of Grogan Street, Lavonia, died Tuesday, November 18 at Young at Hart Personal Care Home.
She was born April 6, 1921, in Danielsville, the daughter of the late Frank Drew Stribling and Essie (Evans) Stribling. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper. Mrs. Bond was a member of the Lavonia Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by husband: Crawford Moody Bond; sisters: Flo Buffington, Teeby Irving, Azalee Thompson, and Lorene Stapleton; and brothers: Hollin Stribling, Early Stribling, Worley Stribling, and R.E. Stribling.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law: Carol and Bill Mauldin of Hoschton; grandchildren: AmyLyn and SSG Charles Brennan of Greer, SC, Jennifer and Paul Peacock of Canton, Laura and Eric Skates Of Canton; great grandchildren: Andrew Bond Brennan Of Greer and Annagrace Olivia Peacock of Canton; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 20 at the Franklin Memorial Gardens – North with Rev. Jim Cabaniss officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
