Mrs. Lucy Crawford Bowers, 97, of Cleveland Ave, Hartwell, died Friday, August 6, 2010 at her home.
Born on July 10, 1913 in Anderson SC, she was the daughter of the late James M.Crawford and Nola Rowland Crawford.She was retired from C & S Bank of Hart County, where she was a Clerk and Teller.She was a member of the Hartwell First Methodist Church and the Live Wire SS Class.
Survivors include her son, Jerry Bowers & his wife Lynne of Anderson; two grandchildren, James Bowers and Jennifer Mihalic & her husband Bob; a great-grandchild, Kayleigh Mihalic also survives.Mrs. Bowers was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Bowers; a brother, Mack Crawford and two sisters, Ira Mae Ridgeway and Myrtle Bolt.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 9 at 3:00 p.m. at the Hartwell First United Methodist Church with Rev. Troy Ayers & Rev. Jim Winn officiating.Burial will be in the Northview Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Monday afternoon.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hartwell First United Methodist Church, James Bowers Fund, 200 E. Howell St, Hartwell GA30643
