Obituary
Mrs. Lucy Mae Davis Lewis, 87, of 1991 Clay Brown Rd., Hartwell, died Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Hart Care Center.
Born on June 9, 1921 in Hart Co. GA, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Davis and Lessie Rowland Davis.She was retired from Monroe Auto Equipment Co, a homemaker and a member of the Milltown Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Sonny Lewis of Anderson; three daughters, Virginia Byrum, Linda Bell and Brenda Lewis all of Hartwell; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, L.Q. Lewis; a son, Ralph Lewis and a sister, Fannie Ruth Taylor.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, January 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with Rev. Johnny Stowe and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday night.The family is at their respective homes.
