Mrs. Mae Freeman Beebe, 93, of Canon, passed away Friday, January 19, 2024 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia.
Born on December 13, 1930 in Toccoa, GA, she was the daughter of the late William Carl Freeman and Faith Jewel Hunter Freeman. Mrs. Beebe was a seamstress for the Hartwell Garment Company and a former member of the East Lavonia Church of God.
Survivors include two sons: Steve Beebe and Tim Beebe, both of Canon; one sister: Lena McCollum of Starr, SC; three grandchildren: Shawn Beebe (Crystal), Candy McNall (Clay) and Davey Beebe and great-grandchildren: Dustin Womack, Sienna Beebe, Cali Beebe, Britt Dyar and several other great-grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Beebe is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Floyd Beebe; two sons: Mike & Stanley Beebe; daughter: Darlene Aldridge; six brothers: Henry, Terry, Bill, Reese, Harold, and Dan Freeman; and two sisters: Amy Cantrell and Barbara Freeman.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.
Services for Mrs. Mae Beebe will be Sunday, January 21, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Eddie Umbehant officiating. It was Mrs. Beebe's wishes to be cremated following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
