Mrs. Mae Emma Bowden Justice, 44, of Hartwell, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022 at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens.

Born on May 29, 1978 in Haynes City, AL, she was the daughter of the late Allen Bowden and Mona Hall Smith. Mrs. Justice was a homemaker, devoted mother & grandmother, had a great sense of humor, and was full of life.

She is survived by her son: Damon Justice of Royston; two daughters: Taylor M. Hunter of Royston and Angelina Mendoza of Hartwell; brother: Allen Bowden Jr. of Toccoa; two sisters: Teresa Haygood of Hartwell and Elaine Scott (Jae) of Martin; one grandchild: Brooklyn Rosemae Hunter; her loving brother-in-law: Freddy Haygood; two special nieces: Kasie Martin (Tra) and Katie Young (Colt); and several other nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service celebrating Mrs. Mae Justice's life will be held Friday, September 23, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Buffington officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Flowers are optional, memorials may be made to help defray memorial service expenses.
