Mrs. Maggie Haney Miller, age 72 of 391 McCurry Road, Hartwell, Ga., died Sat., April 28, 2007 at Hart County Hospital.

Born October 27, 1934 in Union S.C., she was the daughter of the late William Franklin Haney and Daisy Odell Haney. She was retired from Hartwell Mills and was a member of the Bio Baptist Church.

She is survived by: granddaughter, Karen Posey of Hartwell, Ga., grandson, Lewis Reed Cann, Jr., ofLonestar, TX, brothers, Michael, Gerald and William Haney all ofUnion, S.C., and sisters, Vanessa Hogan, Jean Turner, and Sandra West, all of Union, S.C., and Linda McCalister of Clarkesville, Ga., great-grandson, Cory Posey of Hartwell, Ga. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alton T. Miller, daughter, Barbara Miller Richardson, brother, James Haney and sisters, Rosie Moore, Dorthy Justice and Cindy Gibson, and grandson, Jeffrey Mark Cann.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. from the Hartwell Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Rev. Dale Zabroskie will officiate. Burial will be in Bio Baptist Church Cemetery.
