Obituary

Mrs. Mamie Eulene Faulkner Freeman, 92, of St. Irene Personal Care, Elberton, died Friday, September 3 at Elbert Memorial Hospital.

Born on September 24, 1917 in Lula GA, she was the daughter of the late Mr.& Mrs. William Gibb Faulkner.She was a homemaker and was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church, Lavonia.

Survivors include her son, Charles Freeman and his wife Evelyn of Anderson; four daughters, Mildred Ward of Phoenix AZ, Helen Vassar and Nell Hunnicutt both of Hartwell and Rachel Schwab and her husband Loren of Lilburn; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren also survive.She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie T. Freeman; two sisters, Grace Faulkner and Dorothy Adams and three brothers, John Faulkner, Doyle Faulkner and Bill Faulkner.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 6 at 11:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Lonnie Bennett officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Carnesville.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday night.The family is at the home of Helen Vassar, 102 Lynnheart Dr, Hartwell.
