Mrs. Margaret Louise Williams Brown, 93, of Azalea Drive, Hartwell, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023 at her home.
Born on June 10, 1930 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Henry M. Williams and Mattie Jane Herring Williams. Mrs. Brown was a graduate of Hart County High School, Class of 1947, and she worked in shipping at Bellcraft. She was also a member of Bethany Baptist Church where she worked with the Social Committee and was a member of the Young at Heart Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her two daughters: Peggy Kesler (Wayne) of Hartwell and Ann Neese (Howard) of Loganville, GA; five grandchildren: Matt Neese (Kim), Angie Keener (Chris), Jeannie Cordaro (Jay), Nikki Hancock, Krissi Little (Micah); and eleven great-grandchildren: Madison & Nolan Keener, Brady & Sophie Cordaro, Dallas & Olivia Hancock, Austin, Caleb, & Carrie Neese, and Brantley & Jackson Little. Mrs. Brown is preceded in death by her parents; husband: George Truitte Brown; and brother: Billy Williams.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at the home.
Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Brown will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bethany Baptist Church with Revs. Luther Thomason and Jerry Durham officiating. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
Flowers are optional, and memorials may be made to Bethany Baptist Church, 2085 Bethany-Bowersville Hwy, Canon, GA 30520.
The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
