Mrs. Margaret Smith Crump, 80, of Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Park Place Nursing & Rehab. in Monroe, GA.

Born on June 30, 1940 in Anderson SC, she was the daughter of the late Landy Earl Smith and Frances Day Smith. Mrs. Crump was a retired Human Resources Manager for the Hartwell Company and a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters: Sandy Briscoe (Don) of Covington, Ashley Martin (Brad) of Atlanta; one brother: Charles Smith of Anderson; seven grandchildren: Laura Briscoe, Katie Briscoe, Matthew Briscoe, Avery Martin, Will Martin, Jake Martin, Ryan Crump; and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Crump was preceded in death by her husband: Ed Crump; two sons: Jim Crump, Steven Crump; one daughter: Dianne Seawright; one brother: Jimmy Smith and one sister: Mary Ann McGill.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Mrs. Crump will be held Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 2:00 in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Jason Webb officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 to 2:00 prior to the service.The family is at their respective homes.
