Mrs. Annie Margaret Morrison Evans, 76, of Evans Road, Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital, Athens.

Born on December 16, 1941 in Orlando, FL, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm Hamilton Morrison and Sallie Hicks Morrison.Mrs. Evans was a former spare hand for the Hartwell Company and retired from Walmart as a door greeter.She was a member of the Abundant Life Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband: George Inman Evans; one son: Wade Evans of Hartwell; one sister: Martha Adams of Hartwell; two brothers: Bobby Morrison of Royston and Malcolm "Pee Wee" Morrison of Hartwell; two grandchildren: Wesley Evans and Jonathan Evans also survive.Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her parents; one son: Billy Ray Evans; two brothers: Toby Hamilton Morrison and Billy Frank Morrison; and one sister: Mary Frances Hornick.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Ken Brewer and Rev. John Mitchell officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening.The family is at the home.
