Mrs. Margaret Thrasher Scott, 91, of 977 Windmill Lane, Evans, GA, formerly of Hartwell, died Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Lake Crossing Health Center, Appling, GA
Born April 26, 1918 in Hart County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Frank Thrasher and Cecil Adams Thrasher.She was a homemaker and a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church.
She is survived by:Daughter, Alice McCann and her husband, Rick of Evans, GA; Brother, Inman "Cootie" Thrasher of Hartwell, GA and Grandchildren, Scott McCann and Taylor McCann.She is preceded in death by her Parents; Husband, W. Fred Scott; Brother, Frankie Thrasher and Sisters, Louise Boham, Ida Ruth Walters and Jo Nell Cox.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cross Roads Baptist Church.Rev. Ben Coleman and Rev. Michael Dyar will officiate.Burial will be in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Friday night from 7 – 9:00 p.m.The family is at their respective homes.Flowers are optional; Memorials may be made to Cross Roads Baptist Church, 3636 Lavonia Hwy, Hartwell, GA30643.
