Mrs. Margaret Wood Sheffield, 77, of Gardner Lane, Hartwell, passed away Friday, September 11, 2015 in Dacula, GA.

Born on April 14, 1938 in Petersburg VA, she was the daughter of the late Irvin Mason Wood Sr. and Margaret Eanes Wood.Mrs. Sheffield was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include her three daughters: Sheila (Ken) Donnelly of Dacula, GA, Natalie (Ricky) Dawkins of Powder Springs, GA and Kimberly (Brad) Stamaris of Snellville, GA; a son: David (Lyn) Sheffield of Cumming, GA; twelve grandchildren: Caitlin, Jeremy and Alex Donnelly, Adam, Eric and Daniel Dawkins, Kayla Ryan, Bradley Stamaris Jr, Nikki Stamaris, Mason Sheffield, Cathy Wright and Crystal Woodward and six great-grandchildren: Alaina and Ava Wright, Taylor Woodward, Beckett Robinson, Bradley Stamaris III and Declan Ryan.Mrs. Sheffield is also survived by three brothers: Irvin "Junior" Wood of Waynesboro VA, Stuart Wood of Santa Rosa Beach, FL and George Wood of Crimora VA and six sisters: Connie Lee of Canon, GA, Jeanette Rickman of Waynesboro, VA, Gloria Hull of Lexington, VA, Kathleen Joyce of Cumming, GA, Jackie Martin of Richmond, VA and Alice Sandridge of Glen Allen, VA.Mrs. Sheffield was preceded in death by her husband: Leslie Sheffield, a sister: Joyce Irene Wood and four brothers: Charles, Russell, Tom and Butch Wood.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 16 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Burial will be in the Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night.The family is at the home.
