Mrs. Margaret E. Stephens Burson Walker formerly of Tyus-Carrollton Road, Carrollton, GA passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Hart Care Center in Hartwell, GA.

Born on May 19, 1925 in Newnan, GA, she was the daughter of the late James Lewis Stephens and Sallie Hardegree Stephens.Mrs. Walker retired from Walker Oldsmobile-Cadillac and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband: Joseph Frank Burson and second husband: Davis S. Walker: brother, Lamar Stephens; and sister, Miriam Stephens Ethridge.

Survivors include: one son: Lewis Burson (Lynn) of Carrollton; one daughter: Patricia Burson Beele (Rick) of Hartwell; one step-son: Larry Walker (Carolyn) of Atlanta; two step-daughters: Bonnie Helget (Bob) of Atlanta and Ann Crook of Largo, FL; one brother: Walter Horace Stephens (Carol) of Niceville, FL.She is also survived by grandchildren: Johnny Burson (Maxine) of Palmetto, GA; Eric Beele of Crown Point, IN; Nicolas Beele (Robyn) of Hartwell; David Walker (Jodie) of Oak Park, IL and Andrew Walker (Sarah) of Nashville, TN and six great grandchildren.

A celebration of Margaret's life will be held on her birthday, May 19, 2017 at Bethesda Baptist Church, 1539 Bethesda Church Road, Carrollton, GA30117 at 3:00 PM.Following the service a reception will be held to greet guests.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethesda Baptist Church or Tabernacle Baptist Church, 150 Tabernacle Drive, Carrollton, GA30117.
