Mrs. Margie Cleveland Alexander, 77, of 188 Early Drive, Hartwell, GA, died Friday, December 4, 2009 at Brown Memorial Convalescent Center.

Born September 4, 1932 in Hart County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Albert Cleveland and Nellie Byrum Cleveland.She was a homemaker and member of Mount Olivet Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Frank E. Alexander of Hartwell; sons, James Alexander and his wife Phyllis of Clarkesville, GA, and Wayne Alexander and his wife Jan of Elberton, GA; three grandchildren, April Cowart, Amy Seymour, and Jeremy Tony Beatenbo; four great grandchildren also survive.She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Roger Alexander; four brothers, Curt, Dorsey, Ralph, and Walker and two sisters, Sara Eaton and Rena Sanders.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hartwell Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home.Rev. Johnny Stowe and Mr. Fred Greenway will officiate.Burial will be at Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00-8:00 p.m.The family is at home.
