Mrs. Margie Dobbs Blackmon, 56, of 121 Blackmon Road, Canon, GA, died Friday, August 15, 2008 at her home.
Born January 23, 1952 in Franklin County, GA, she was the daughter of the late James Boyd Dobbs and Reba Hart Dobbs.She was a homemaker.
She is survived by:Husband, Leonard J. "Jackie" Blackmon of the home; Sons, Matthew J. Blackmon of Canon, GA and Michael J. Blackmon of Canon, GA; Brother, Loye Dobbs of Royston, GA; Three grandchildren, Jayme Blackmon, Jobie Blackmon and Jessie Blackmon.She is preceded in death by her Parents; Son, Andrew Jackson Blackmon and a brother, Lawrence Dobbs.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Lee Pointer and Rev. Joey Pless will officiate.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Saturday night from 7 – 9:00 p.m.The family is at the home.
