Obituary
Miss Margie L. Cantrell, 88, of 850 Whippoorwill Trail, Hartwell, died peacefully Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Hartwell Health Care Center.
Born on April 25, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Starling A. Cantrell and Nancy Lou Currie Bailey Cantrell.She was a retired elementary school teacher, where she taught in Texas, Mississippi, Georgia and South Carolina. She was a former Missionary to Mexico and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Hartwell.
Survivors include her three sisters: Clara Cantrell, Henrietta Cantrell and Curtis Cantrell all of Hartwell; several nieces and nephews also survive.Miss Cantrell was preceded in death by her parents; a sister: Blanche C. Carpenter and three brothers: Max Cantrell, Olin Cantrell and Holden Cantrell.
Graveside services will be Saturday, February 2 at 2:00 p.m. at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with Rev. Frank Owens officiating.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.The family is at the home.Memorials may be made to defray funeral expenses.
