Mrs. Marie Ophelia Scott Holland, 79, of 505 Sunset Rd, Canon, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson SC.

Born August 1, 1930 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Mahlon Scott and Georgia Ayers Scott.She was formerly employed with the Hartwell Company and was a member of Mt. Olivet Church of God.

She is survived by:Daughters, Donna Marie Stepp of Chickamauga, GA and Melissa Lowery Ruff of Hartwell, GA; Son, Jimmie Don Estridge of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA, formerly of Hartwell; Sisters, Addie Jean Scott of Hartwell, GA and Ruby Nell Dowell of Royston, GA; Six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her Parents; Husband, Floyd Holland; Brother, I.J. Scott; Sisters, Mazelle Blackwell, Beatrice Mahoney, Lorene Cameron, Bertie Mae Scott and Lois Fowler.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Nancy Hart Memorial Park.Rev. Jack Couch will officiate.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm – 2:30 p.m. prior to the service.The family is at the home of Scott and Melissa Ruff, 990 Page Road, Hartwell.Flowers are optional; Memorials may be made to Rainey Hospice House, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC29621.
