Mrs. Eunice Marie Vickery Kirkland, 86, of 261 Fairview Avenue, Hartwell, GA, died Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at Hart Care Center.
Born April 22, 1921 in Hart County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late William Zenith Vickery and Vennie Vickery Vickery.She was a former Seamstress and Machine Operator for Monroe Auto Equip. She was also a member of Flat Shoals Baptist Church and the Inspiration Sunday School Class.
Her survivors include:Son, Bobby Jackson and his wife Donna of Bowersville, GA; Daughter, Betty Lewis of Martin, GA; Sister, Mildred Deadwyler of Athens, GA; Five grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.She is preceded in death by: Parents; Husband, John Wesley Kirland; Brothers, Henry Vickery and Howard Vickery.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Flat Shoals Baptist Church.Rev. Mike Fugate and Rev. Gettis Allen will officiate.Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6 to 8:00 p.m.The family is at the home of Bobby & Donna Jackson, 287 Lou Gurley Road, Bowersville, GA.
