Obituary

Marie N. Siceloff, age 91, of Lavonia, widow of James B. Siceloff, died peacefully with family by her side and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 25, 2009 at Hart County Hospital.
The daughter of the late Charlie Nichols and Blanche Joines Nichols, she was born on September 27, 1917 in Finley, Grayson County, Virginia. Mrs. Siceloff was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lavonia and the Faith Sunday School Class and was a faithful member as long as long as her health permitted.
Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law: Janie & Donald Hamby of Lavonia, GA, Brenda & Ronnie Ward of Union, SC, Betty & Ed Harris of Greer, SC, and Teri and Steve Hill of Woodruff, SC; four granddaughters, a grandson, two great-granddaughters, and a great-grandson; brother Eugene Nichols; sisters: Elsie Pugh and Minnie Patton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Lee Nichols, Woodlawn, VA and John Nichols, Galax, VA; one sister: Ruby Williams, Fries, VA; and a grandson: Steven Donald Hamby, Lavonia, GA.
Funeral services will be held at the Lavonia First Baptist Church at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday May 28, 2009 with Dr. Larry Finger, Rev. Richard Bielski, and Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Burgess City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to the Lavonia First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 47, Lavonia, GA 30553.
