Mrs. Marie Singleton Teasley, 84, of Hartwell, passed away Friday, September 8, 2023 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC.

Born on December 13, 1938 in Gastonia, NC, she was the daughter of the late Harold Lee Singleton and Nellie Lee Merck Singleton.  Mrs. Teasley was a sales clerk for Belk. Marie was a former member of the Oak Bower Baptist Church where she taught the ladies Sunday School class, and was a current member at the Sardis Baptist Church. She loved to read and take care of her flowers.

Survivors include her husband: Herman Teasley of Hartwell; two daughters: Vicki Hilley (Ted) and Pam Isbell (Richard), all of Hartwell; brother: Kenny Singleton (Autumn) of Columbus, NC; two sisters: Judy Stovall (Robert) of Inman, SC, and Sharon Vickery (Larry) of Kernersville, NC; sister-in-law: Fran Singleton of Anderson, SC; and two grandchildren: Sam Hilley (Ainsley Vassar) and Erin Isbell. Mrs. Teasley is preceded in death by her parents and one brother: Edward Singleton.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Teasley will be Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Ken Brewer officiating.  Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
