Mrs. Marilyn DeLisle Yates Spence, age 68, of 474 Parkdale Dr, Hartwell, GA, died Tuesday, March 09, 2010 at Hart County Hospital.

Born November 18, 1941 in Monroe, Michigan, she was the daughter of John DeLisle and Ruth Ready DeLisle of Monroe, MI.She came to Hartwell in the mid 50's, graduated from Hart County High School and was a graduate of Georgia Southern.She was of the Catholic/Protestant Faith, Former member of the Pilot Club of Hartwell and Hartwell Jaycettes.She was a loving Mother, Wife and Grandmother, loved the outdoors, was an avid reader and had a green thumb.She retired as Office Manager from Anderson Surgical Clinic.

She is survived by her Parents; Husband, Dale Spence of Hartwell, GA; Sons, David Yates of Hartwell, GA, Greg Yates and his wife, Leesa of Bowersville, GA and Jason Yates and his wife, Polly of Honea Path, SC; Stepdaughter, Sharon Hicks of Townville, SC; Stepson, Mark Spence of Belton, SC; Brother, Frank DeLisle and his wife Susan of Indianapolis, IN; Sister, Carol D. Fuller and her husband Jerry of Jensen Beach, FL; Twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren and Sixteen nieces and nephews also survive. She is preceded in death by: Daughter, Debbie Yates Boyd; Brother, John H. DeLisle, II and a Sister, Diane Parker.

A Time of Remembrance will be held at her home on Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 2 – 4:00 p.m. to remember and celebrate Marilyn's Life.The family requests no flowers; Memorials may be made to Hart County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1062, Hartwell, GA30643.
