Mrs. Marion Vickery Reed, 93, of Vickery St, Hartwell, died Monday, March 31, 2014 at Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center, Lavonia.

Born on January 21, 1921 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late George Epp Vickery and Bertha Josephine Howell Vickery.She was a retired seamstress at Bellcraft Manufacturing Co. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hartwell, Women's Missionary Union and Fellowship of Christian Seniors.

Survivors include her sister: Helen D. Brown of Royston; one granddaughter: Meredith Reed, of Greenville, SC.; and one step grandson: Eric Gillespie of Pensacola, Fl. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Inman Eugene Reed, Sr.; one son: Inman Eugene Reed Jr.; three brothers: Dr. George W. Vickery, Oscar Vickery and Henry Vickery and two sisters: Josephine Stephens and Frances Todd.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Hartwell, with Rev. Carter Tucker and Dr. Steve Albanese officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family is at their respective homes.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Hartwell, 81 E. Howell St., Hartwell, GA.
