Mrs. Marjorie Hall "Tillie" Banister, 94, of Royston Hwy, Hartwell, passed away Monday, October 24, 2016 at Hart Care Center.

Born on March 18, 1922 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late B. K. Hall and Jessie Madden Hall.Mrs. Banister was retired from Hart County High School cafeteria and a member of the Hartwell First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons: Wayne Banister (Melody) of Irmo, SC, Mark Banister of Hartwell; one daughter: Laura B. Milford (Ronnie) of Hartwell; three grandchildren: Valerie Milford, Amber B. McMurry (Keith), Jill Banister and one great-grandchild: David McMurry; two brothers: Bobby Hall, Douglas Hall both of Hartwell and several nieces and nephews also survive.Mrs. Banister was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Fred Banister; four brothers: Kyle Hall, Eugene Hall, Herbert Hall, James Hall; two sisters: Laura Parnell and Mary Fowler.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Dr. R. Allen Stewart and Mr. Wayne Bannister officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.The family is at the home of Ronnie and Laura Milford, 196 Old Beacon Light Road, Hartwell, GA 30643.
