Mr. John Mark Davis, 56, of Atlanta, formerly of Hartwell, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 at his home.

Born on April 17, 1961 in Burnettsville, IN, he was the son of the late Harry L. Davis and Vera Jean Buis Davis.Mr. Davis was a graduate of the University of Georgia, an editor for Katz Media Group and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include one daughter: Sara Beth Davis; one sister: Jody Williams and her husband Bobby of Bowersville; two brothers: Dave Davis and his wife Debbie of Hartwell, Steve Davis and his wife Ramona of Columbus, NE.; several nieces and nephews also survive.Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cross Roads Baptist Church with Rev. Sean Payne and Rev. Terry Meeks officiating.Burial will be in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.The family are at their respective homes.
