Mr. Mark D. Ricks, 59, of Plantation Road, Elberton, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Elbert Memorial Hospital.

Born on July 10, 1959 in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late John Ricks and Lorene Evans Ricks. Mr. Ricks was a supervisor for Fenner Dunlop. Mr. Ricks was also a member of the Price Chapel Church of God.

Survivors include his wife: Lisa Hill Ricks; two daughters: Megan Morris & Justin and Morgan Franks & Justin all of Hartwell; one brother: David Ricks of Knoxville, TN; four sisters: Opal McDowell, Berta Lee Reed, and Catherine Woodall all of Hartwell, and Sara Alice Fleming of Canon, GA; and six grandchildren: Anniston Morris, Caroline Morris, Banks Morris, Easton Ricks, Reagan Franks, and Lakelyn Franks. Mr. Ricks was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers: Dorsey Ricks and Johnny Ricks.

A memorial service celebrating Mark's life will be held Sunday, October 7, at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Johnny Stowe officiating.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm Sunday afternoon prior to the service. The family is at the home.In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to T J and Friends Foundation, P.O. Box 6161, Elberton, GA 30635.
