Marquardt Dan "Mark" Spivey, age 67, of Martin, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens.
Born January 7, 1953, in Panama City, FL, he was the son of Clara (Whitmire) Spivey and the late Claiborn Spivey. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was owner and operator of Spivey Millworks and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother: Chad Spivey; nephew: Matt Spivey; father-in-law: James Cawthon.
He is survived by his mother: Clara (Whitmire) Spivey; wife: Pam (Cawthon) Spivey; sisters: Pam Walker and Tammy Spivey; brother: Claiborn Spivey, Jr.; mother-in-law: Shelby Cawthon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Franklin Memorial Gardens – North with Rev. Mike Smith and Rev. Courtney Umbehant officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA Atlanta (www.aspca.org) or the US Humane Society (www.humanesociety.org).
