Mrs. Marlene Hulsey Bryant, 65, of Goldmine Holly Springs Road, Royston, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at her home.
Born on June 15, 1951 in Royston, GA, she was the daughter of the late Joe B. Hulsey and Bonnie Sue White Hulsey.Mrs. Bryant was owner and operator of Marlene's Beauty Shop. She was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church and the Fellowship Sunday School Class, where she was very involved in the women's; ministry, Grow Outreach Ministry and enjoyed going on mission trips.Mrs. Bryant also was a Ty Cobb Auxiliary Pink Lady.
Survivors include her husband: David Bryant; two sons: Marty Bryant and his wife Kelli of Zebulon, GA, Barry Bryant and his wife Megan of Jefferson, GA; her daughter: Christi Sanders and her husband Jason of Hartwell; five grandchildren: Mason Bryant, Kip Bryant, Sophie Bryant, Emilee Sanders, Josie Sanders; one brother: Kenneth Hulsey and Judy of Lavonia; and three sisters: Betty Jo Ginn and Joel of Riverdale, GA, Mary Payne and Martha Carithers both of Hartwell.Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers:Billy Hulsey, Max Hulsey and one sister: Jane Forrester.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 25, 2016, at 3:00 pm at the Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Durham and Rev. Britt Ginn officiating.Burial will be in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening.The family is at the home.Flowers are optional, memorials may be made to the Grow Outreach Ministry, C/O Bethany Baptist Church, P.O. Box 396, Hartwell, GA 30643.
