Mrs. Martha Floyd Bagwell, age 85 of 1016 Royston Hwy, Hartwell GA, died Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Hart County Hospital.
Born April 2, 1924 in Hart County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Aaron Floyd and Gertie Thompson Floyd. She was retired from the Hartwell Company as an Inspector.She was a member of Hartwell First United Methodist Church; Mae Lilly Circle of the UMW and the Live Wire Sunday School Class.
She is survived by:Son, Jimmy E. Bagwell of Hartwell, GA; Sister, Geneese Lewis of Hartwell, GA and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Parents; Husband, James L. Bagwell; Sister, Pauline Vaughn and Brothers, J.B. Floyd, Jasper Floyd, Joe Frank Floyd, Aaron Floyd, Jr. Tom Ed Floyd, Harold Floyd and Turner Floyd.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Dr. R. Allen Stewart and Rev. Jim Winn will officiate.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 – 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.The family is at the home of Mrs. Geneese Lewis, 3664 Royston Hwy., Hartwell.Flowers are optional: Memorials may be made to Hartwell First United Methodist Church, 200 E. Howell Street, Hartwell, GA30643.
