Mrs. Martha Bartlett Foster, age 77, of Lavonia, died Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center.
Born February 9, 1937, in Hart County, she was the daughter of the late Harold "Buddy" and Eula Grace (Vickery) Bartlett. She was a graduate of Hart County High School Class of 1955. She was the charter president of the Hart County High School Anchor Club. She retired from Northeast Georgia Bank after 35 years of service. Mrs. Foster was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lamar Foster.
She is survived by her sons: Mark Foster and Mike Foster and wife Diane; grandchildren: Kevin Foster, Katie Miller, and Kody Foster; great-grandchildren: Dason, Kolton, and Kolby Foster, and Rylan Miller; brother: Larry Bartlett; and sister: Brenda Tyson.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 25, 2014 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. John Forbes and Rev. Joe Renfro officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 250 Pleasant Grove Road, Lavonia, GA 30553.
