Mrs. Martha Ann Cheek Goldsmith, 74, of Winder, formerly of Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Northside Hospital - Gwinnett, Lawrenceville GA.

Born on June 3, 1949 in Belton SC, she was the daughter of the late Harold Jefferson Cheek and Virginia Inez Timms Cheek.   Mrs. Goldsmith was a retired weaver/spinner from Hartwell Mills and was of the Church of God Faith.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons: David Evans of Abbeville SC, Jimmy Goldsmith of Hartwell, B.J. Goldsmith (Katrina) of Lavonia; two daughters: Windy Hudders (Bill) of Starr SC and Marsha Bradley of Canon; one sister: Faye Davis of Elberton; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Goldsmith is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Talley Cleotis "Quoty" Goldsmith; one daughter: Tammy Henson; two brothers: Samuel Cheek and Roger Cheek and one sister: Frances Loftis.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 17, 2023 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Goldsmith will be Friday, November 17, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Robert Hyde officiating.  Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Church of God Cemetery.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
