Obituary
Mrs. Martha Fox Hardison, 86, of Nancy Drive, Hartwell, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.
Born on December 19, 1934 in Carrollton GA, she was the daughter of the late T. Watson Fox and Vesta Elizabeth McWhorter Fox.Ms. Hardison was a retired clerk for Brown Transport and Dixie Seal and Stamp and a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter: Katherine H. Powell (Todd) of Lavonia GA and several nieces and nephews.
Ms. Hardison was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Frank Fox, Bunk Fox and Bobby Fox and three sisters: Mary Fox, Nell Fox Maxwell Cook and Bessa Fox Calhoun.
Because of the current conditions concerning the health and well-being of our community, the family will not be having a formal visitation.They ask that everyone keep them in their thoughts and prayers in the coming days and weeks.
A memorial service celebrating Martha's life will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Meeks officiating.Everyone will be asked to practice Social Distancing and masks are recommended.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cornerstone Baptist Church Food Bank Ministry, 1543 Anderson Hwy, Hartwell GA 30643.
The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
