Obituary
Ms. Martha Rice Kelley, 88, of Rice Mill Road, Hartwell, died Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson SC.
Born on February 7, 1925 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence W. Rice Sr. and Louise McMullan Rice.Ms. Rice retired from the Hart County School System as a school teacher after 30 years of teaching.She was also a lifetime member of the Sardis Baptist Church.
Survivors include her two sons: Tim Kelley of Greenville NC and Bates Kelley of Hartwell; three grandchildren: Shannon, Samantha and Colin and two daughter-in-laws: Michelle Covi and Darcy Kelley also survive. Ms. Kelley was preceded in death by a sister: Susan Lamar Rice and two brothers: Joel Judson Rice and Clarence Washington Rice Jr.
Private graveside services were held at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.
