Martha Louise Dixon Morris, 92, of Hartwell, passed peacefully at her home on Monday, October 14, 2024, after an extended illness.
Born March 3, 1932, in Columbia, SC., her parents were the late George Trezvant Dixon, Sr. and Inez Dial Dixon. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Carl Thomas (Tom) Morris, Sr.
The Morris family moved to Hartwell in 1968. They were the owners of Morris International, Inc. a farm equipment dealership in Starr, SC and were farmers in Hart County. She was a Master Cosmetologist and also worked at Ferguson Williams as a bookkeeper.
Survivors include her four children: Susan Morris Crawford and her husband Wayne of Brooks, GA; Carl Thomas (Tom) Morris, Jr. and his wife Allyson of Hartwell; Richard Douglas (Ricky) Morris and his wife Sharon of Hartwell; and Leigh Morris Canady and her husband Brian of Hartwell.
Grandchildren: Whitney Crawford Vasey (Greg), Taylor Crawford Herubin (Ryan), Justin Morris (Megan), Thomas Morris (Melissa), Galen Morris (Megan), Ross Morris (Maria), Riley Sanders, Carson (Libby Scott) Sanders, Megan Canady Moon (Nick) and Katelyn Canady.
Great Grandchildren: Anniston Morris, Caroline Morris, Banks Morris, Barrett Vasey, Parker Vasey, Hayes Vasey, Will Herubin, Luke Herubin, Graham Morris, Grayson Moon, Maddox Moon and Aubrie Webb.
Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl Thomas Morris, Sr., and brothers: George Trezvant (Sonny) Dixon, Jr and Richard Henry (Butch) Dixon.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 11:00 to 12:00 Noon at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at the home.
Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Morris will be Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Kimberly officiating. Burial will be in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ's Church of Hartwell, PO Box 1099, 1318 Reed Creek Hwy, Hartwell, GA 30643.
