Mrs. Mary H. Bailey, of E. Howell Street, Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Hartwell Health Rehab.

Born on June 1, 1930 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late J. Henry Hailey and Addie Kidd Hailey.Mrs. Bailey was retired from the Hart County School System, where she had served for 24 years as a Para Professional.She was also a former Girl Scout Leader and former member of the Pine Tree Garden Club.Mrs. Bailey was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Hartwell, WMU, former SS teacher and Sunbeam leader.

Survivors include her two daughters: Adelyn B. Harris of Hartwell and Susan B. McCullough & Carl of Woodstock GA; three grandchildren: Jennifer Marrow & Lance, Hank Harris & Brandy and Carlyn Jackson & Chad; nine great-grandchildren: McCain, McKenzie & Isabella Marrow, Hannah & Hal Harris and McKenna, Caleb, Daniel & Addie Jackson also survive.Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Thomas Jeptha "Jep" Bailey; a son-in-law: Henry E. Harris and a sister: Eugenia Hailey Johnson.

The family will receive friends Sunday, May 13, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with a private funeral service following the visitation.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Hartwell, 81 E. Howell Street, Hartwell GA 30643.
