Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Greenway Brown, 87, of Woodlake Drive, Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Pruitt Health of Toccoa.

Born on July 25, 1932 in Elberton, GA, she was the daughter of the late Barney Hester Greenway and Sallie Mae Charpin Greenway.Mrs. Brown retired from Monroe Auto Equipment Company as an assembly line worker and a member of the Mt. Olivet Church of God.

Survivors include her daughter: Dale McCollum (Billy) of Canon; two grandchildren: Tracie McCollum and Marty McCollum (Christy); three great-grandchildren: Christopher Carter, Dylan Reeder, Mackinleigh McCollum; and one great-great grandchild: Ayla Carter.Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Frank William Brown; one son: Mike Brown; three brothers: Woody Greenway, John Greenway, Claude Greenway; and four sisters: Ruth Harris, Sybil Saxon, Louise Thomas, and Rachel Brown.

The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home.Other times the family will be at their respective homes

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Brown will be held Friday, January, 31, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Johnny Stowe officiating.Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Church of God Cemetery.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
