Obituary
Mrs. Mary Vickery Teasley Dixon, 92, 1903 Seymour Rd., Bowman, died Monday, January 7, 2008 at Nancy Hart Nursing Center, Elberton.
Born on October 14, 1915 in Hart County GA, she was the daughter of the late Ora Vickery and Lucy Jim Hall Vickery. She was a retired seamstress from Gip's Mfg Co. and a member of the Stinchcomb United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons: Wayne Teasley and his Martha of Bowman and Bruce Teasley and his wife Jane of Hartwell; a step-daughter: Carolyn Howell of Elberton; a step-son: Parker Dixon of Texas; a sister: Lois Higginbotham of Greenwood SC; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Dixon was preceded in death by her husbands: Joe Teasley and Fremon Dixon; two sons: Haynie Teasley and Vic Teasley; one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 9 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Donald Hazelgrove officiating.Burial will be in the Bethesda United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 Tuesday night.The family is at their respective homes.
