Mary Ann (Poore) Gurley, age 90, of Lavonia, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Hartwell Health & Rehab.
She was born May 5, 1930, in Hart County, the daughter of the late Hugh and Laura (Dickerson) Poore. She was a lifetime member of Redwine United Methodist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher and Membership Secretary. Mrs. Gurley was a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law: Marie & Ernie Dawkins and Hope & Jones Beasley; grandchildren: Kirk & Ashley Dawkins, Adam & Taunya Dawkins, Charity & Stephen Gilbert, and Jones & Crystal Beasley; and great-grandchildren: Maley Dawkins, Reese Dawkins, Ansley Hallford, Thomas Gilbert, Caroline Gilbert, Benjamin Gilbert, MaCaylee Childs, and Camryn Childs.
The graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Redwine United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Greg Millwood officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to Redwine United Methodist Church.
