Mrs. Mary Long Haltom, 85, of Old Beacon Light Road, Hartwell, died Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Pruitt Health Spring Valley, Elberton, GA.

Born on January 8, 1930 in Westminster, SC, she was the daughter of the late Richard Johnnie "RJ" Long and Thelma Owens Long.Mrs. Haltom was a retired insurance agent with Haltom Insurance Agency and a member of the Concord United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son: Steve Haltom and Ann of Elberton; two daughters: Carol Parrish and Mickey of Lawrenceville, GA, Linda Aston and Gary of Elberton; one sister: Jerylene Pettit of Walhalla, SC; six grandchildren: Mark Haltom, John William Haltom, Cody Parrish, Molly Bruce, Derek Aston, Charlotte Aston and six great-grandchildren: Rebecca Haltom, Georgia Haltom, Violet Haltom, Ella Beth Haltom, Hayleigh Aston and Lucas Aston also survive.Mrs. Haltom was preceded in death by one sister: Willyne Long.

Funeral services will Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Billy Pittman officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:30 to 3:00 P.M. prior to the service at the Strickland funeral Home of Hartwell. The family is at their respective homes.Flowers are optional, memorials may be made to the Concord United Methodist Church, 2503 Harmony Road, Elberton, GA 30635.
