Mrs. Mary Adams Heaton, 86, of 2897 Reed Creek Hwy, Hartwell, GA, died Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Hart Co. Hospital.
Born June 13, 1923 in Hart County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Leland E. Adams and Ruby Elrod Adams.She worked and retired from Hartwell Garment after 55 years and worked at Wal-Mart for 7 years in the Clothing Department.She was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church and the Seaborn Winn Sunday School Class.
She is survived by:Husband, John Inman "Slim" Heaton of the home; Brother, Max Adams of Hartwell, GA; Sisters, Ann Adams of Hartwell, GA and Betty Little and husband Donald of Hartwell, GA; Sister in law, Earlene Adams of Hartwell, GA and Niece, Carolyn Bailey.She is preceded in death by Parents and Brothers, Hugh Adams and Dean Adams.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church.Dr. Donald Little will officiate.Burial will be in the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6 – 8:00 p.m.The family is at the home.Flowers are optional; Memorials may be made to Mt. Hebron Baptist Church, 273 Mt. Hebron Road, Hartwell, GA30643.
