Obituary
Mrs. Mary Ann Ashworth Hendrix, 73, of Adamstown Road, Bowersville, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at University Nursing & Rehab, Athens, GA.
Born on January 8, 1945 in Iva, SC, she was the daughter of the late Perry Walter Ashworth and Nora Lee Ashworth. Mrs. Hendrix was retired from TNS Mills and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters: Debra Ann Temple of Hartwell, and Terrie Burdette & Keith of Bowersville, GA; one brother: Edward Ashworth of Anderson, SC; and 3 grandchildren. Mrs. Hendrix was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Paul Wayne Hendrix; one brother: Perry Mason Ashworth; and one sister: Lizzie Mae Jackson.
The family will have a gathering to celebrate her life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
