Mrs. Mary Seymour Kesler, 97, of Hartwell, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022 at her home.

Born on June 23, 1925 in Royston, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Seymour and Dallas Martin Seymour.  Mrs. Kesler was the co-owner of Kesler Equipment Company of Lavonia and Kesler Farms LLC. Mrs. Kesler was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hartwell where she was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School class. Mary was honored as Home Maker of the Year in 1966. She was also a member of the Pine Tree Garden Club. She was an avid gardener, accomplished seamstress, and phenomenal cook.

She is survived by four daughters: Sybil Dickerson of Hartwell, Susan Glenn (Bill) of Tequesta FL, Cathy Leard (Mike) of Hartwell, Becky Glenn (Greg) of Hartwell; son: David Kesler (Sandra) of Canon; brother: Charles Seymour of Griffin, GA; eight grandchildren: Holly Jordan (Brad), Jennifer Craft (Jason), Hank Dickerson (Rachel), Keith Glenn, Andy Leard, Amanda Leard, Cory Glenn and Tyler Glenn (Stephanie); and eight great grandchildren: Kensley, Ryleigh, and Cooper Jordan, Larson, Ellie, and Brayden Craft, and Bree & Hoke Dickerson.  Mrs. Kesler was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 70 years: Edwin David "Ed" Kesler; two brothers: Edwin and Jimmy Seymour; sister: Winona Scarboro; and son-in-law: Henry Dickerson.

A memorial service celebrating Mrs. Mary Kesler's life will be held Sunday, August 28, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Hartwell with Dr. Stuart Lang, Dr. Hugh Kirby, and Rev. Carter Tucker officiating. A reception will follow the service where family will receive friends. Other times the family will be at the home.
