Mrs. Mary A. Stelter Korte, 67, Woodhurst Drive of, Hartwell, died Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC.

Born on October 14, 1947 in Grand Rapids, MI, she was the daughter of the late John Stelter and Angeline Woodhull Stelter.She was a retired Registered Nurse & Nurse Educator and a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church where she was a Religion Education Teacher and active with "Christ Renews His Parish".She also was employed by Partners for a Healthy Community and member of Leadership Anderson.

Survivors include her husband: Jerry R. Korte of Hartwell; three sons; Kenneth Korte and his wife Inna of Marysville, WA, Mathew Gholston of Charleston, SC, Solomon Gholston and his wife Angie of Savannah, GA; one daughter: Kerry Lynn Bishop and her husband Kenny of Buford, GA; one brother: John Stelter and his wife Linda of Toccoa; one sister: Paula Gelbert and her husband James of Coral Springs, FL; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survives.Mrs. Korte was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Michael Stelter and Gregory Stelter; and one sister: Marsha Wollam.

A memorial mass will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.Mrs. Korte's wishes were to be cremated after the service.

A wake service will be held Friday, December 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Upstate, Inc., 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC29621.
