Ms. Mary Margaret White Lewis, 77, of 181 Hart Terrace, Hartwell, died Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Hart County Hospital.
Born on March 16, 1934 in Royston, GA, she was the daughter of the late Charlie C. White and Ila Victoria Crowder White. She was a retired cook at Dairy Queen.
She is survived by one step-son: William Lewis of Hartwell; one daughter: Cheryl Rowland of Hartwell; one step-daughter: Martha Ayers of Royston; one sister: Sara Morvant of Hartwell; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Ms. Lewis was preceded in death by her parents and one brother: Charles White, Jr.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randall Starrett officiating. Burial will be in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.The family is at the home.
