Mrs. Mary McKern Bailey, of 143 Bailey's Garage Rd., Bowersville, died Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at her home.

A Royston, GA native, she was the daughter of the late Howard McKern and Bertha Morris McKern. She was a homemaker and a former assembly line worker at Monroe Auto Equipment Company. She was a member of the Bowersville Church of God.

Survivors include husband of the home, Charles W. Bailey; sons, Wesley King and Dennis King of Elberton, Ga., David and Dennis Bailey of Bowersville, Ga.; daughter, Susan Huff, Hartwell, Ga.; brothers, Harold McKern, Canon, Ga.; and Edward McKern, Royston, Ga.; sister, Avis Bell Hendrix, Hartwell, Ga.; Ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren also survive as well as several special friends and caregivers. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, James and Randall McKern.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Rev. Gettis Allen and Mr. David Bailey will officiate. Interment will be at the Mount Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will be at the home.
